Tucked away just moments from Deal beach, Little Cedars is one of those places that feels right the moment you walk in. Calm, considered, and properly well put together.

The location does most of the hard work here. The beach is a two-minute stroll, and the centre of Deal is five minutes on foot. Morning swim, coffee in hand, something good booked for dinner… all without needing the car.

Inside, the space has been professionally designed by an interior designer and local architects, and it shows. This isn’t a quick fit-out. Everything feels solid, well made, and built to last. The open … plan living space flows easily, with a Neptune kitchen at its heart that’s as practical as it is good looking.

The main bedroom is a proper switch-off space, with a skylight drawing in plenty of natural light and floor to ceiling wardrobes that are as practical as they are good looking. There’s also a beautifully finished ensuite shower room that leans more boutique hotel than beach stay.

In the living area, a comfortable sofa bed means the space works just as well for four, without ever feeling like a squeeze.

Outside, a private courtyard acts as a real suntrap, catching the light throughout the day. It’s the kind of spot made for morning coffee or a slow breakfast, and just as good for a glass of wine in the evening after time by the sea.

When you do venture out, you’re perfectly placed. Head one way towards Kingsdown and St Margaret's Bay for quieter stretches of coast and big sea views, or the other towards Sandwich, one of the best preserved medieval towns in Kent.

If you’re here for history, you’re in the right spot. Deal Castle, Walmer Castle and Sandown Castle are all close by and well worth a visit.

Food-wise, you’re spoiled. Updown Farmhouse is a short drive, and there are several Michelin recognised restaurants across the surrounding villages and towns if you feel like making a night of it.

Little Cedars has that boutique hotel feel, similar to somewhere like The Pig Hotel, but with the added luxury of your own space and the freedom to do things entirely your way.
